Dumpster FAQ

Welcome to our FAQ for roll-off dumpsters. Here you will find our company’s and services’ most frequently asked questions. This section also contains answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding dumpster container rentals.

How does dumpster rental work?

Renting a dumpster can be confusing at times. With the right organisation, however, your application should proceed smoothly. Simply contact the company and request to employ their services. They will then introduce their services, the size and type of dumpster you may require depending on the amount of waste to be removed.

They will then provide the appropriate quotation. After everything has been agreed upon and settled, your dumpster will be delivered at the agreed upon time and date. As it can be difficult to manoeuvre a dumpster on the road, there may be a slight delay before delivery.

When will the dumpster bin be collected?

This depends on the terms of your contract with the company. Since waste management, duration of service, and waste collection schedule will be discussed beforehand, the dumpster will be picked up (with or without junk inside) at the agreed-upon address and on the agreed-upon date, regardless of whether it contains garbage.

How big are the junk cans?

The volume of a dumpster is measured in cubic yards. Typically, waste management companies that provide dumpster rentals offer fourteen different sizes. However, keep in mind that other retailers may not carry every available size, as some may be out of stock.

You may discuss the size with a company expert (call 910-765-8950 now). Thus, you can provide an accurate estimate of the amount of trash that needs to be removed from your home or business, and our company can then recommend an appropriate size.

What goes into the trash can?

Our organisation accepts all types of household, construction, and concrete debris. Soil, stumps, and brush are also permitted. Keep in mind, however, that hazardous waste, such as harmful chemicals, battery liquids, asbestos, and solvents, are prohibited.

Consult your local county office if you need to dispose of these types of wastes; they will be able to provide you with a list of accredited Wilmington companies that can safely handle and dispose of hazardous chemicals.

What is the policy on recycling and being environmentally conscious?

We, like many dumpster rental and waste management companies, offer eco-friendly services. Typically, the dumpster’s contents are dumped at the landfill as soon as the garbage has been collected.

However, our company, like the majority of the Wilmington Dumpster Rentals Center, provides rental bins for recyclable materials. On rare occasions, some companies offer to sort your trash for you. You need only inquire whether they provide this service.

What size do I require?

This will depend on the scope of the project or the anticipated amount of waste generated. Our company’s policy has always been to inform customers of the load capacity of the unit. If you are unsure of how much trash you will generate, it is recommended that you rent a larger dumpster.

However, smaller dumpsters are preferred when remodelling or renovating a home or business. As construction debris, such as cement rocks and other heavy materials, tends to be heavier than typical garbage, weight restrictions may be exceeded. When in doubt, please contact us by phone. The specialists in our office can assist you with this decision.

Before you sign the contract, you should be aware that each municipality has distinct dumpster specifications for both private and public property. Contact your local county and inquire about the requirements you must meet. In some instances, the rental company can help you gather the necessary information. However, processing it would be your responsibility.

How did you start renting out dumpsters?

Our business began as a third-party cleaning service for high-end restaurants, hotels, schools, and other businesses. As the operation progressed, we observed that there was a dearth of dumpsters available for rental despite the high demand. We frequently find ourselves discarding trash and dumping it into overflowing dumpsters. We subsequently invested in dumpster rental services to meet our customers’ demands. After a few years, we began purchasing additional dumpsters to rent out to Idaho residents, businesses, and offices in need of waste removal services.

Can we receive a recommendation to ensure we’re hiring the right company?

Absolutely! Feel free to contact us at 910-765-8950 for references from our previous clients. We will gladly provide you with the phone numbers of our past and present customers.

How do I determine the appropriate dumpster size?

If you live in Wilmington, North Carolina, you can easily visit our location to view the available sizes. However, if this is not possible, you can call us or fill out our contact form and we will discuss your needs and the most suitable dumpster size for your project.

Can I keep the dumpster I rented from you longer? Can I also have it removed sooner?

Please note that any modifications to your order must be made at least 2 business days prior to the date of the modification. This will enable us to process all paperwork and applicable terms and conditions. Due to the fact that our drivers and staff adhere to a strict schedule, arranging a last-minute change to the agreement will be difficult, but doable.

However, if we determine that we can accommodate your request, we will gladly allow you to keep the dumpster for a longer period of time or have it removed sooner for an extra charge.

Is it necessary for me to be there for the delivery and pick up of the dumpster?

It is not necessary to have someone present for container removal. However, it would be most beneficial if you were present during the initial delivery. This allows our driver to receive precise instructions on where to place the dumpster. However, if you are unable to be present at that time, we would appreciate it if you could leave your phone line open so that our driver can contact you to discuss delivery details.

Please be specific in your responses, as our staff and crew will use their best judgement to place the container in the safest and most accessible location possible. Please be aware that you will be responsible for all costs associated with the dumpster’s relocation, should it become necessary.

As for the pickup, you may simply leave detailed instructions and ensure that the unit is accessible on the scheduled date. If the dumpster cannot be collected due to inaccessibility, additional fees may apply.

What do I get aside from the dumpster?

A roll-off dumpster rental includes a single pickup and delivery date. State taxes and standard disposal and fuel fees are already included in the price. You may request an itemised price list in order to select the services you require. If you require specific services that are not on our list, please feel free to contact us so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Is It Possible That A Dumpster Could Damage My Driveway?

You can protect your driveway by laying plywood down so that the container can be placed on top of it. During the hot summer months, the weight of the container or the truck can leave indentations in asphalt driveways, which can lead to cracks. The best approach to protect your driveway from damage is to lay plywood over it.

What Is The Durability Of The Dumpster?

Depending on the dumpster company, this may or may not be the case. Depending on the company, they can be rented for as little as 5 days or as long as 30 days. The maximum rental period is 15 days.

Does The Delivery Or Removal Require My Presence, But What Should I Do To Prepare For A Container?

It’s up to you whether or not you want to be present for the delivery and removal. Tips to keep in mind if you don’t want to be there:

1. Ensure that the delivery and removal area is clear of all vehicles and other objects.

2. Check to see whether there are any cables or overhead impediments in the delivery area.

3. If the container needs to be set down on plywood, make sure the delivery area has been indicated and plywood has been laid out on the driveway for driver’s convenience.

What Is The Limit For What I Can Put In The Dumpster?

Materials should not be placed above or protruding past the load level label found on all containers.

How much does a dumpster rental cost?

The cost of renting a dumpster from us depends on the type of service you want, where you live, and a number of other things, such as:

  • Size
  • Types of junk
  • How much stuff weighs
  • Location
  • How long you can rent something

How do you pay for an ongoing dumpster service?

Bills for commercial front-load dumpsters are sent out once a month. You’ll get a bill every month, and the date listed is when your credit card payment will be processed.

Do I need a licence?

Most cities require a permit if you want to put the bin on the street. Go to your city’s Public Works website to get a permit. If the bin is on your own land, you do not need a permit. But we need your signature in person or by fax to let you off the hook for any damage to property. Be aware that a 2 tonne bin that is empty and an 8 tonne bin that is full can easily crack your driveway. Plywood may help avoid damage. Our drivers won’t put a bin down where it could hurt someone or damage something.

What If The Dumpster Causes Damage?

Getting a dumpster is at your own risk.  Please understand the dumpsters and trucks are very heavy, so it is possible it could cause damage to where you are putting it.  We put wood under the can when placed on the driveway. This almost always protects the driveway, but we do not take responsibility for any damage.

What If It Rains?

All of the excess water will be drained out when the dumpster is picked up and put on the truck. Yes, it could affect the weight if there are things that soak up water. There is nothing we can do about this. We too get charged for that water weight. If you are very worried about it, we suggest you put a tarp tightly over it to keep water out.
